On arrival please dispose of ALL food items. The country enjoys a privileged low-disease state in the susceptible agricultural market, however we are becoming more and more susceptible due to the increased volumes of tourists who unwittingly bring in agricultural diseases. So please, DO NOT bring into the country any food substances of any kinds as it will be confiscated at the airport! This includes dried food favoured by trampers, biscuits and especially fruit. Sorry, we have to protect our disease free image which helps to sell our agricultural products overseas.
