The prices vary considerably, so let me know which class you can afford according to your budget. See below for an explanation of classes. You also need to budget approximately $60per person per day towards food and another +/- $100 per person per day for excursions - the allowance is an average spread out over all the days. Not everyday is there an excursion scheduled and not everyday will involve eating in a restaurant, you may enjoy cooking in your self-contained motel unit some evenings. Hotels are generally only available in the cities. Elsewhere free standing apartments/condo's (not the high rise variety) and "motels" are common - these are 1-3 bedroom cosy units with fully equipped kitchens and en suite bathrooms.
This category offers the discerning traveller the ultimate in world-class luxury award winning accommodation. Rates range from NZ $700 per person up to $1,600 per person per night including full breakfast and a-la-carte dinner.
Superior quality lodges and boutique hotels are small and intimate establishments which offer fine lodging and cuisine in unique surroundings. Rates range from $350 - $700 per person per night.
Our selection of luxury accommodation are all 5 star standard offering world class service. These include Lodges, Hotels, Boutique Hotels and Boutique Bed & Breakfasts. Prices range between $200 - $300 per person per night.
The deluxe range are all 4 star standard. These include Hotels and Bed & Breakfasts and Luxury Apartments/condo's offering the discerning traveller the opportunity to 'stay in' some evenings and cook a meal. Prices range from $150 - $200 per person per night based on double/twin share occupancy.
Quality rated establishments are usually of 3 star standard, offering excellent lodgings on a world class standard. The establishments we have chosen are usually Motels, with private bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens offering the opportunity to cook a meal some evenings. Breakfast is not usually included. Prices range from $75 - $100 per person. Two bedroomed units are often available making them ideal for families or groups.
